With the weather getting colder nowadays, it's time for hot soup-based Korean food. Per Jane's mom's recommendations, we made a trip to Chunju Han-il Kwan to get some army based stew. Yes. YEEESSS.
The place is pretty hidden, in the corner of a tiny plaza.
They hand out barley tea with GDragon's face.
Obviously the meal wouldn't be the same without unlimited varieties of side dishes.
Leah, Jane and I ordered the seafood pancake and the stew pot, and they were both amazing. The stew pot had sausages, spam, napa cabbage, mushrooms, leeks, potatoes, RAMEN, etc.
After lunch, we decided to go to Phil's Coffee and walk around third street promenade to walk off the weight we gained.
We met up with Vencci and Timmond and decided to try Fritto Misto Italian Cafe for dinner. Spaghetti pasgetti. Amazing pasta = happy Crystal :)
I think this small restaurant is a family-run business. The owner helps around and was extremely wonderful at making customers feel right at home. The waiters were also very kind and helpful. He asked us if this was our first time, and even gave us a free piece of their flour-less chocolate pies!
Large calamari appetizer.
Italian Sausage & Roasted Peppers (sliced Italian turkey sausage, marinara sauce and caramelized onions on linguini). I don't like peppers in my pasta, so I switched them out with mushrooms.
Spicy Shrimp Ravioli (in garlic cream sauce with cajun seared chicken)
Cajun Seared Chicken (spicy chicken tenders, garlic cream, tossed with red bell pepper fettuccini, garnished with green onions)
