One of the benefits of living in LA is the wide array of amazing food, food and more food. There seems to always be a new restaurant/chain opening up in the area, and it's literally a dream come true for foodies. #seriousfatgirlproblems
Anyway, Leah suggested an ice cream place called Amarino Gelato that we needed to try out, so she, Jane and I dropped by one night.
Due to my unfortunate condition, this was probably the first time in more than 5 years that I actually walked into an ice cream shop. I didn't plan on ordering anything but just cared about taking pictures of a new spot, so you can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to find out that the place offered tons of sorbet options.
So how it works is you pick a cone size: small, medium or large. Then you select up to as many flavors as you would like, and the ice cream is presented to you as a rose.
WOW. I mean just look at that concentration.
I selected the strawberry (red), lemon (white), passion fruit (orange) and chocolate (brown) flavors. This was THE best sorbet I have ever tasted in my life. The flavors blended so well together, and don't even get me started on the texture. I don't know what dark magic was added into the ingredients, but it had the milky smooth flavor and the creamy texture without the bathroom obligations after. MmMmmM...
I was halfway done with my ice cream before Jane and Leah got theirs. It literally took them 20 minutes to taste and design their own roses - LOL they weren't fucking around. Leah's turned out more pastel/wintery looking. That yellow/orange petal you see there is mango. Fuck yes, it tasted like they had just harvested the mango straight from the tree, froze it and then ground it into ice cream form. It was amazing.
So delicious. Thanks for taking us there, Heinous! :)
