Despite the hot humid weather these days (seriously, WTF?) I've been craving some budae jjigae (boo-day jee-gae) . For those of you who don't know what that is, it's the army based stew that originated from right after the Korean War, when food was very scarce. Simply put, it's a bunch of spam, hot dogs, veggies and gojuchang paste :) Even more simply put, this shit is fucking delicious.
Leah, Jane and I decided to make a spontaneous video of the making of the stew. DO U LIKE?
If you're not interested in watching the video, I've included pictures of process below :)
It's definitely one of the easier Korean foods to make, since it's just a matter of slicing and dicing. Then you stack everything, turn on the fire, and you're good to go.
For those of you who are curious about the breakdown of the ingredients we decided to use, I've mapped it out below :)
Anyway, if any of you guys are ever craving this, just come on over - I'm always DTF widdis ;)
