I've been craving burgers for some time now, not sure why. Maybe it's because of the 1000 foodgrammers I follow or the Youtube food bloggers I watch every day. Regardless, I needed one but didn't want to feel the whiplash from overeating on grease or oil due to eating out. So I decided to make my own.
Right when I woke up today, I headed straight for the butcher shop. This was going to be my first burger in at least 6 months. It had to be PERFECT. Made with only the BEST and FRESHEST ingredients. I picked up some 80/20 fresh course ground beef and a couple brioche buns just in case. Or just because bread :)
I cooked the patty with sous vide to a perfect medium rare. Finished if off with a final sear on the cast iron and topped it off with melty cheddar cheese. Assembled the burger and topped it off with a fried sunny side up egg. Oh and added a side of baked tater tots. FAT.
